Ancient Greece

Ancient Greece is a mountainous land almost completely surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea. The mountainous land causes separation and it resulted in growth of independent across the city-state. Even though everyone speaks the same language, however, they have different cultures, government and social structures because of the people were divide by the mountains. The mountainous land also causes the lack of resources and differences between the city states which led to disagreements and wars. Since there’s a countless amount of mountains and the disadvantage of the climate, farming and traveling can be really hard, so trading and gathering for food usually happens in the sea. Living next to the sea causes people to be fishermen, sailors, and merchants.
